Design and Technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject which encourages children to think creatively and solve problems both as individuals and as members of a team. The four stands of textiles, food, structures and mechanisms allow children the opportunity to develop real life skills. 

Through Design and Technology, children are encouraged to become innovators and risk-takers by building on their skills; it requires children to be active learners with the confidence to ‘have a go,’ and the resilience to persist with a project when challenges occur.
